Feerick Advocacy, LLC can partner with you through an impasse at just one phase of the special education process or can help you every step of the way.

Jen Feerick

Jen works tirelessly for children with physical and intellectual disabilities, such as specific learning disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, emotional disturbances, and more. She understands the emotional toll the special education process takes on parents and works to support them throughout the IEP and Section 504 process. She also understands our children will only be able to live their fullest potential if they receive services that match their special education needs.  Jen will advocate on your family's behalf with this in mind.  She comes from a place of caring and it shows in her work as an advocate.

I complained to Jen that my dyslexic child was receiving substantial services from the school but was not making any progress in reading. Although I believed my child was receiving services in the form of the Wilson Reading System, Jen helped me figure out that the program was not working because it was not being offered in the step-by-step fashion vital to its success. Instead, the resource teacher was supplementing my child's classroom lessons with a corresponding Wilson lesson.

Because of Jen's assistance, the resource teacher is now using the 10-step Wilson Reading System properly. Finally, my daughter is making real progress, having advanced 4 steps in five months.

Jen reviewed each test and the results performed by the school and then had me request additional tests that should have been performed by the school. Jen also prepared me for the IEP meeting: what to expect, what questions to ask, and how to get the best possible services for my child.  It was because of Jen Feerick and her guidance that we had a successful IEP meeting.

This can be a very emotional process. Jen understood what I was going through and was able to lead me down the best path. I highly recommend Jen Feerick as a special education advocate.

For all parents (new and experienced with IEP/504), Jen is the person you want by your side who truly cares for the needs and services children need in order to succeed.

I was floored by her scientific approach to disseminate information, attention to detail and willingness to collaborate with everyone on the team. I would recommend working with Jen to ensure your child's success.
